With their construction made from impact-resistant polypropylene, the Blackthorn Series walking sticks are designed for strength and durability. Unlike real wooden sticks, they won't tear or warp, swell or split. They are based on original pieces made from real blackthorn (esp. blackthorn ), but have been so ingeniously modified that they not only look like they were plucked from nature, but they even surpass anything Mother Nature could produce! If nature provided absolutely perfect blackthorn sticks, and if you were lucky enough to have them, they would look like this.

The newest member of the Blackthorn family was inspired by an oversized rod from the private collection of Cold Steels® President Lynn C. Thompson and is the largest stick Cold Steel® has ever made! The Blackthorn rod (total length approx. 1.5m) is the result of years of expensive research and development in the field of injection molding technology and the production of impact-resistant polymers.

With its rustic wooden frame, prominent 'cut-out spines' and polished wood-look knob, this oversized hiking stick will enrich every collection and is sure to provide plenty to talk about.
