Due to their impact-resistant polypropylene construction, Blackthorn Series sticks are designed for strength and durability. Unlike real sticks made of wood, they will not tear, warp, swell or splinter. They are original pieces of real Blackthorn (eng. Sloe ) modeled, but were so cleverly modified to look like they were taken from nature.

Cold Steel® is now pleased to be able to expand its range with a “little brother”. This model is shorter, lighter and has just become the so-called Blackthorn Shillelagh . An antique billet from the private collection of Lynn C. Thompson served as the model for its design. Cold Steels® Blackthorn Shillelagh is very close to the original in terms of look, feel and balance, but is made from impact-resistant polymer material and will therefore withstand the harshest weather conditions. With its high-gloss polished wooden pommel and its pretty shaft with a bark-like wood structure and protruding “trimmed spines”, this beautiful stick will attract everyone’s attention, whether you carry it under your arm at a reenactment event or simply on display at home.
