Based on a 15th-century barbute from northern Italy, this helmet is decorated with brass studs around the top and steel studs lining the edges. A short crest accentuates the rounded skull, reinforcing the helmet without adding weight.
Inside, the helmet has an adjustable padded cotton lining and leather straps for a perfect fit under the chin.
