This high-quality, hand-knotted chain mail hauberk is a so-called Hauberk. This means that it is a long-sleeved, knee-length chain mail hauberk. Powerful chain mail armour covered most of the body. This historically authentic cut was often enhanced with front or side slits for better legroom for the wearer. As a result, these long chain mail hauberks could even be comfortably worn by riders on horseback. Our Hauberk basically has no slits, so that the customer can customize it if necessary. In addition, it has tapered sleeves, which rejuvenate every 5 cm around a ring.

It is made from rings with a diameter of only 6 mm. According to the original templates, it consists of a series of riveted rings (round rivets) and a series of stamped rings. Due to the extremely small ring diameter, these chainmail shirts could be made from steel only 1 mm thick without losing their strength. As a result, a weight reduction of about 30 - 35% is achieved.
