Rieter helmet replica from Kornburg
The Rieter Kornburg family (=Knights of Kornburg) was a patrician family, occupying Nuremberg since 1361, this helmet is today on display in the Germanic National Museum (GNM) in Nuremberg.
Our reconstruction is made of 1.6 mm thick sheet steel, hand-made metal parts are connected to brass rivets as well as the elaborate and ornate brass applications on the original Vorderseite helmet.
The helmet has a spring steel Aventail with a leather chin strap with brass buckle.
