Full reproduction of the so-called Coventry battle Schaller, also known as the English form Schaller bezeichnet, is very similar to the (Northern) Italian Schaller types, but is differentiated by its sharpened point. It is dated to the year 1460 and is still in Coventry, where it can be visited at The Herbert Museum - Art Gallery and Museum.
Like all visored Schaller, this form was primarily worn by knights and mercenaries, the English. The helmet has a sophisticated lock to close the visor. The helmet has a very comfortable padded fabric inlay and a solid chin guard with buckle.
Details:
- Material: approx. 2mm steel
- Padded fabric insert with chin strap
