This bascinet (also called a kettle bell) is a reconstruction of a bascinet dating from 1370. The original is in the Valeria Museum, Sion (Switzerland). The helmet has a removable, hinged visor.
The helmet is made of 2 mm thick steel plate, hand-made, riveted and welded, and its robustness ensures great protection during battle recreation.
The helmet has comfortable, side-mounted padding.
