The medium chainmail coat reaches to the middle of the forearm and to below the hip. It is riveted with flat rings and flat rivets.

The FWM braiding type is a variant of the European flat ring braid.
One row consists of flat rings riveted in a wedge shape, the second row is made of stamped rings of the same size. With this method you saved a lot of work in the Middle Ages, but even in ancient times, as only every second ring had to be riveted. The braid is 4 in 1.
Riveting with wedge rivets (triangular rivets) appeared only in the late Middle Ages.
