These shoes are very authentic reconstructions after finds from the Viking town of Haithabu (near Schleswig). They are dated to approximately 900-1150. It is a high cut with stiffness around the foot both above and below the ankle.
The shoes have a high heel sole, which is common for Northern European shoes from the early Middle Ages.
Please note, however: the sturdiness of these reversible stitched shoes may
do not meet modern standards. They are quite sensitive to asphalt,
concrete blocks and gravel. These floor coverings did not exist in the Middle Ages!
Therefore, we recommend using any template.
