It is often said that short tunics are from earlier times than longer ones and can be seen from the time of the Vikings. It is also true that they are much more flattering when fighting, making the guard position more comfortable because the legs are freer. In any case, our "Short Tunic" falls into the category of "mail" and is similar to the Type 1 of the Nockert catalog. Ideal then for those reenactors given to giving themselves over to the heat of battle. Light and comfortable, it is made of cotton canvas and dyed with a rustic and historical look.
