The legend and history of King Arthur is closely linked to the magical and mysterious sword "Excalibur". As Merlin the Wizard had announced, the only one capable of pulling the sword from the stone would be the King. Arthur, kneeling before the stone and having accomplished this act, took the sword, on his way to the cathedral, and offered it before the altar. Legend and history merge through time and the legend of King Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table and the magical sword "Excalibur" have become intertwined along the way.
