MEDIEVAL TABARD

Your Knight's Code is one of valor, truth, and courage. You are tasked with defending the innocent and the weak, and today your oath is being put to the test. Outside the city there has been an attack by bandits on a merchant and his family, and it is up to you to rescue them.

Your squire secures your Basic Tabard over your armour, and with a prayer to your god you and your small unit set out on the road. The colours of your tabard are a reminder that you represent a House of Justice.

DETAILS

Epic Armoury's Basic Tabard is a sleeveless, open-faced garment worn over any outfit or set of armour. This particular tabard is made from a black, medium cotton, inspired by the gothic style of the Middle Ages. Secure the tabard closed at the sides with cotton cords and add one of Epic Armoury's wide selection of leather belts to finish the look. Whether you're a one-man army that wants to stand out, or you're in a unit of soldiers and want to blend in, you'll appear full of style, class and distinction wearing the Basic Tabard.

Available in Blue/Off-White, Black, Black/Off-White, Dark Red, Dark Red/Dark Beige, Green/Dark Beige and Off-White; and in sizes 6-8 years, 8-10 years, Small/Medium, Large/X-Large and XX-Large.

HISTORY

• Open-sided tabards became more popular among the military in the late 16th century.
• A knight's coat of arms is usually displayed on the front and back.
• It is used as a way to identify allies or enemies while on the battlefield.

Cleaning

Machine wash at 40°C/104°F. Wash separately the first time and with like colours afterwards. Tumble dry low, but please note that shrinkage may occur up to 5%. For general stains or discolouration, treat with a commercial fabric cleaner or dry with warm water and a soft cloth.
