Roman pugio holder, brass belt adjustment, Vindonissa pattern, set
of 2
This Roman dagger holder or hanger is based on finds from the castle (legionary camp) of Vindonissa, today Windisch in Switzerland. The original artefacts, dating from the first half of the 1st century AD, belonged to the Cingulum or Balteus of a Roman legionary.
This replica of a Roman belt attachment is cast in 2mm thick brass. For attachment to a belt, holes must first be drilled in the movable belt plate, as this is not pre-drilled.
Such brass suspensions are ideal for building your own Roman belts and are also ideal as replacement parts for existing legionary belts. Delivery is without fastening material.
An ideal accessory for Roman reenactment.
These beautiful belt accessories are sold in pairs.
