This Roman dagger holder or hanger is based on finds from the Mainz area. The original artifacts dating back to the 1st century AD belonged to the Cingulum or Balteus of a Roman legionary.

This replica of a Roman strap fitting is cast in 2mm thick brass and has an antique finish. For attachment to a strap, holes must first be drilled in the movable strap plate as this is not pre-drilled.

Such brass suspensions are ideal for building your own Roman belts and are also ideal as replacement parts for existing legionary belts. Delivery is without fastening material.
