The 1060 carbon steel blade is forged using Bronze Age forging techniques. Each piece is open-die forged and hardened in a layer of clay to create a visible hardening line (hamon). Differential tempering gives this magnificent sword a harder edge and a smoother blade back, an unmistakable feature of high-quality weapons.

The tsuba and handle are made of solid brass, making them strong and durable. The wooden handle is covered with real, tea-colored stingray skin, which not only gives it an elegant look but also provides a comfortable and secure grip. Additionally, it features a traditional rope wrap that makes it even more authentic.

A polished and black lacquered wooden sheath with drawstring (Sageo) is included in the scope of delivery. It is perfect for protecting the katana when not in use and for easy transport.
