The Great Wave Wakizashi is a piece created by Paul Chen Hanwei that transports you to Japan thanks to its meticulous design and details. This time, the Japanese Tomoe motif takes center stage, a symbol used on the crest of many families and shrines.

The hand-forged T10 carbon steel blade is one of the most impressive and strongest features of this Wakizashi. With a long Kissaki (tip), the blade has been differentially hardened, giving it a fully defined line of hardness (Hamon). The result is a blade that combines durability and beauty, and which undoubtedly presents itself as an exceptional tool for cutting accurately and effectively.

The ornamentation of the Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira is another of the highlights of the Great Wave Wakizashi. Made from blackened iron, they have been decorated with the beautiful Tomoe-Mon motif, creating a real delight for the eyes.

The aesthetics of the Wakizashi are complemented by a Saya painted in a deep black, giving it an elegant and distinctive touch. The Tsuka, covered in ray skin, features a high-quality black winding made of Japanese cotton and a matching Sageo.

Furthermore, the measurements of the Great Wave Wakizashi are impressive. With a total length of about 67.3 cm, a blade length of around 47.6 cm, a Tsuka size of 16.5 cm and a weight of approximately 765 g, it is a balanced and easy-to-handle piece.
