Swiss dagger, 15th century SH2460

The blade of the Swiss Sword or Swiss Dagger extended during the 15th century, initially from about 40 to about 70 cm. This weapon was then used from the 13th to the 17th century in its various versions. The proverbial glory of the Swiss Knife is based on this comparatively simple dagger.

All versions are identical and characteristic of the Parier and Knauf Swiss sickle-shaped dagger.

Our replica made by Hanwei based on a template from the 15th century and has a single edged, narrow blade from 5160 carbon steel with a riveted tang. The characteristic hardwood grip is enclosed with an engraved Parier and a steel knob plate. A nice leather-wrapped scabbard with a ribbon ring attaches to the last of this beautiful piece.
