Hanwei Italian Fencing Sabre
The sabre has a Pecoraro, bowl-shaped perforated guard plate, which is located at the smaller end of the reinforced edges (for handling plug down). The high-carbon steel blade is particularly flexible towards the tip. Spare blades (Item no. OH2264) are sold separately.
On the historical fencing scene, the Italian style sabre of the late 19th century enjoyed rapid growth in popularity. Italian fencing owes its origins to fencing masters, whose initial task was to teach equestrian units the correct handling of the military sabre.
The blacksmith's sword by Paul Chen is modeled after historical patterns. The leaflet shapes are based on designs by Radaelli and Pecoraro. The Parierelemente or baskets are made of stainless steel and the sharkskin-like handles are wrapped with thread. The hardened flexible carbon steel blade corresponds to the proportions of that blade. They are only slightly shorter and lighter and have the safety and purpose of effective training a rounded tip.
