This solid Seax is 55 cm long and has a high carbon steel blade engraved with a beautifully polished Norwegian interlace. The solid brass cylindrical guard has a Nordic motif and the handle is made of Sambar deer horn. The leather sheath has filigree decorated brass trim and 2 brass lashing rings.

This long Seax is worthy of Viking royalty – it is even large enough to accompany the lavish grave possessions of a Viking chieftain on his way to the afterlife. The solid blade is engraved with beautifully polished Norwegian interlace. The solid brass cylindrical guard is a full 2.5cm thick and features a deeply embossed Nordic motif. And the handle – a beautiful Sambar stag wreath! Sambar is one of the finest stags in the world and prized for its toughness. Today it is very difficult to acquire – we found a supplier who was able to source a supply when the Indian Moratorium was temporarily lifted a few years ago.
