Light cavalry sabre of 1796 with scabbard
The Model 1796 light cavalry sabre was one of the most widely used edged weapons of the Prussians and British, who together victoriously defeated Napoleon's troops at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. Its shape was derived from the Indian talwar, making it a feared sabre on the battlefield. Due to its effectiveness, it was used by German units well into the 20th century.
Our replica features a spring steel blade, although it is not sharpened to ensure safety when handling it. A matching steel scabbard, which features a steel support ring, is included with this sabre, all of which are of high quality.
This is a magnificent historical piece that cannot be missing from your collection if you are a lover of antique weapons and a great fan of the military history of humanity.
