Hand-made breastplate designed to protect the front of the torso and abdomen.

The plate rests on the hips and has a small flange (or sword turner) that deflects blows away from the weak point where the torso and leg armor fit together. Sculpted to fit the body and add structural strength to the steel.

Secure the RFB Breastplate by tightening the 4cm wide leather straps at the back, holding the breastplate in place over your gambeson. Made from 1mm thick polished steel and top grain leather straps and fittings, this armour is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with the usual care of leather and metal armour.
