Our Churburg style cuirass is based on the Churburg armour No. 13 from Churburg Castle (South Tyrol in Northern Italy). It dates back to the late 14th century and was produced in an area that would eventually become famous for manufacturing the highly prized Milanese armour of the 15th century.
It is constructed from 16 gauge articulated steel plates that are riveted to the leather for durability and strength and features buckled leather straps on the back. This item is popular with reenactors and is great for reenactment.
The length from the neck to the end of the piece is approximately 37cm.
Made from 1.6mm steel. Steel thickness may vary due to the artisanal methods used in its manufacture. Steel is untreated and may have rust. To protect the steel you can rub it with our Ballistol oil.
Returns will not be accepted due to these issues.
