In 1607 Jacob de Gheyn, a native of Antwerp, illustrated a book which was a success at the time, although its publication was delayed to prevent it from falling into enemy hands. This is "Van Roers Wapenhandelinghe, Mvsqvetten Spiesser Ende", a manual of uses and exercises with caliver, musket and pike. Based on that book we have created this beautiful piece of armour, the last of the infantry in modern warfare and could be an excellent addition for any collector or re-enactor of the Thirty Years' War or the English Civil War. As with the ammunition armour of that time, it is only made in one size which fits almost all sizes.
