It looks pretty much the same as its bigger brother, but has Griv-Ex grips (instead of G-10) and a blade made of cheaper 8Cr13MoV steel. On the other hand, it hasn't lost any of its sharpness and is ready for rough use or the next big adventure at a moment's notice. 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel 8Cr13MoV has similar properties to AUS 8A and is a proven steel that is ideal for the production of work knives. Cold Steels®' own testing has shown that this high carbon stainless steel is hard and resistant to corrosion. Like AUS 8A, it shows good edge retention and can also be easily re-sharpened.
