Grik Cold Steel 28E Pocket Knife

Cold Steels® Grik was designed by blademaker Andrew Demko and is a functional, pocket-sized tool.

Its unusual modified spear point blade is made from Japanese 8A steel. It has been professionally hardened and cryogenically treated and offers the perfect balance of edge retention and resharpenability. A flat notch on the back of the blade serves as a comfortable thumb rest for optimal leverage for demanding jobs and as a support for the index finger when performing fine work with the tip of the blade.

The two-tone satin surface with visible polishing lines and the contrasting polymer thumb disk with HTR™ coating give the blade an elegant appearance – the knife is not only easy to use, but also pleases the eye!

What really makes the Grik stand out from the crowd is its grip! It is made of ergonomically shaped, glass-fibre reinforced nylon and equipped with an interchangeable, convertible clip. It has such a low and flat profile that the knife sits comfortably and particularly discreetly in every pocket. In addition, the pocket clip is made of polymer and thus ensures an incredibly comfortable hold. Here, your palm is spared from the typical pressure points that often arise when using a pocket knife with a steel clip. And unlike steel clips, there is no risk of damage to the paint or cracks in the leather seats of your car!

AUS 8A stainless steel
Cold Steel® has been using the same professionally hardened Japanese AUS 8A steel for nearly three decades. This steel has been tested extremely well and has proven over the years to be excellent for making blades for work knives – it is tough and corrosion resistant with good edge retention and is also easy to sharpen.
