In the USA, the Recon 1® series of knives is very popular with military, police and rescue forces as well as with the civilian population. When they were designed, each of their components was developed to be as durable and efficient as possible. All models in this multifaceted collection are equipped with the world-famous Cold Steels® Tri-Ad® locking mechanism, which offers your precious fingers optimal protection even under the harshest conditions. Whether the Micro (the strong little workhorse) or the classic Recon with medium cutting power – you will find the right knife for every mission here!

With the exception of the Micro Recon 1®, which has a G10-style Griv-Ex™ handle and a small key ring, all Recon 1® knives are equipped with a G-10 handle and a particularly robust small pocket clip. For left-handers, it should be noted that the clip can be used with both hands. In addition, thanks to its small size, this clip will not scratch or irritate the palm of the hand even with prolonged use of the knife. With its strongly corrugated surface, the ingeniously shaped handle ensures a fantastic grip. And to make opening as easy as possible, each knife is equipped with a thumb disc.

2019 Model : The Recon 1® Speargun with a S35VN steel blade and DLC coating replaces the previous model made of CTS® XHP (item number CST-27TLCS), which is no longer in production.

CPM S35VN Steel
This is an extraordinary American super steel . CPM S35VN is not only extremely strong and durable, but can also be sharpened to an incredible sharpness and will maintain this sharpness for a long time. With its uniform microstructure, this very fine-grained powder steel offers good stable properties: durable, reliable, highly resistant to corrosion, tough and hard, even with finely ground cutting edges. A good, versatile steel for premium knives and tools.
