Kershaw Xcom KW-3425 pocket knife

Kershaw XCOM military knives have a long history and many fans. Still, they tend to be uncomfortable and clumsy with daily use and usage. Kershaw and knifemaker Les George offer a solution by taking inspiration from a classic American trench knife design from World War II and turning it into a handy folder.

Like combat knives of the past, the XCOM has a symmetrical spear-point blade that’s great for piercing and slashing. A bayonet joint complements the XCOM’s old-school theme. But Kershaw also had legal concerns in mind. The XCOM’s 8Cr13MoV-grade steel blade is only sharpened on one side, making it safer, easier to close, and legal in more areas. The large 9.2cm blade can be opened manually with a built-in pin.

The comfortable, convenient handle fits a variety of hand sizes, from the largest to the smallest. The XCOM's grooved handle is made of durable, glass-filled, all-weather nylon and has a hand guard near the blade that prevents slipping. The exposed liner on the back of the blade is notched for improved cutting control. An inset liner lock keeps the blade securely open during use and is easy to close when you're finished.

The XCOM has a deeply seated, reversible pocket clip so the knife can be carried discreetly deep in your pocket. But you can also thread some paracord through the large lanyard hole to make your knife stick out better.
