Very nice reconstruction of a late medieval mace. Maces, also known as maces in the Middle Ages, were used by both foot and horsemen as a weapon of war. It was an effective weapon against medieval plate armour , but the upper classes they considered it ignoble.
The mace is made entirely of steel and has six pointed fins, called wings, on the head. The original of our replica is now in the British Museum in London. Our replica is a decorative weapon that is not suitable for display combat. .
