This beautiful medieval lantern is handmade from painted wood and real rawhide (parchment). It consists of a lower round plate and an upper ring, which are connected to each other by means of 8 rods. The cylindrical body is tightly covered with parchment – ​​the thin leather is sewn and securely attached to the wooden frame with nails.
The lamp is equipped with an inner washer of
metal. For a safe holding of the candle, a pointed stem is incorporated into the stem. Thanks to the long temple attached to the stem, the candle can be pulled up and easily lit or replaced without the risk of burning your fingers.
The parchment lets the light shine through and thus ensures a soft, pleasantly warm glow.
Placed on a table in the evening, the lamp creates a pleasant atmosphere both inside and out. It also has a handle made of braided rope and can therefore be easily carried or hung up.
