Eventide Spear - Compact
Description"Rhadza and his fellow warriors stood in line, spears and shields at the ready. They had been told to hold this tunnel against any attackers, and they were alert. Something moved at the edge of Rhadza's dark field of vision, and his fingers moved through the intricate motions, signaling the others to prepare. Their spears were ready, quieter than death itself, and they formed a shield wall, creating a tunnel of death as the enemy, a unit of gnomes, attacked. Rhadza felt nothing but the hard impact of bodies against his spear—bodies that did not know they were already dead."
Epic Armoury's Eventide Spear takes its design from various sources. It is built as a long spear, almost reaching the length of a pike. At the same time, the spearhead features a crossguard, which looks more like a short sword meant for stabbing. In its appearance, it is closely linked to modern dark elves and classical Norse Svartálfar mythology. It is a hybrid latex weapon featuring closed-cell foam, a fiberglass core, and a latex coating for durability. The glaive is 250 cm long, with a 41 cm long spearhead. It can be split in two using a threaded bolt system, allowing you to use the upper half of the spear as a shorter thrusting sword, provided you first safely cover the bolt. The weapon's shaft is finely sculpted to look like dark mahogany, where grooves can be seen in the wood. It only has slight golden details, making it an obvious choice for a character who wishes to remain hidden.
