If you are looking for an effective melee weapon with a unique history, look no further than the 401124 "Longleaf" Traditional Kukri. These original battle kukri were made before 1890 and are an integral part of Nepalese culture and heritage.
Each kukri is handcrafted from steel, cast, forged, shaped and hammered by the Kamis. These craftsmen are descendants of the God Vishwakarma and have been making kukris for centuries. While spears and the Kora sword were replaced by firearms, the kukri remained the preferred weapon for hand-to-hand combat.
This long-bladed kukri was specifically designed for warfare. With a straighter tang and longer blade than the bhojpure, the long-bladed kukri is a terrifying tool in the hands of the Gurkha. It has been carried by both the Nepalese Army and the British Army.
Apart from being an impressive weapon, each kukri has its own history with a manufacturing date engraved in Devangari script. This authenticity adds extra value to each kukri.
If you are looking for a kukri to add to your collection or for use in survival or combat situations, the "Longleaf" 401124 is an excellent choice.
