Virgil is Dante's twin brother. He is a main antagonist in Devil May Cry 3, as well as a playable character in the game's special edition. After being betrayed by Arkham at the end of the game's second act (the end of Mission 13), he is temporarily on Dante's team until he returns to his villainous role at the end. Throughout the game, Virgil seeks to open Sparda's seal on Temen-ni-gru in order to use his father's full power, regardless of the effects this may have on the human world. For this, he needs half of his mother's amulet from Dante, so he lures his brother into taking it from him in battle.

Virgil fights Dante three times in the game Devil May Cry 3. The first battle is at the top level of Temen-Ni-Gru, where Dante is clearly defeated by Virgil and takes away his amulet. Their second battle is at the bottom of the tower, where the twins reach a draw before their fight is interrupted. Their final battle is near the entrance to the Demon Realm, in this one Virgil is finally defeated.

Virgil's sword, the Yamato, is used by Nero in Devil May Cry 4, it is restored when Nero's inner demon awakens.
Dante attempts to retrieve the Yamato from Nero, explaining that it belonged to his brother and was originally used to seal the gateway between worlds, and is therefore required to remain in the family. In the end, Dante entrusts the sword to Nero on the condition that he can use it with confidence.

This is an authentic replica of Virgil's Yamato sword. The handle is made of hardwood wrapped with white cord. The pommel and quillons are made of brass.

A custom made black sheath is included.
