The 32cm long blade is therefore made from T10 high carbon steel which has been hammer forged and clay hardened to create a visible hamon line. Differential hardening gives the superb blade a harder edge and a softer backing which is the hallmark of a high quality weapon.

Additionally, the katana-Tsuba and handle fittings are made of solid iron, and the wooden handle has a traditional cord wrap made of real tea-dyed stingray leather. The black lacquered and polished wooden scabbard with cord wrap houses the blade and keeps it secure. This Shikoto Longquan Master Tanto comes with a certificate of authenticity with blacksmith specifications, signed by the master swordsman.

This tanto has an overall length of approximately 49.0 cm and a blade length of approximately 32.0 cm. The handle is comfortable as it is made of wood with cord wrapping and stingray leather making it easy to handle and control in battle.
