The Golden Oriole Katana by Paul Chen/Hanwei is one of the most popular katanas among collectors and lovers of Japanese swords. Its elegant design includes a stunning tsuba that tells the story of a praying mantis hunting a cricket, but not realizing that they are being hunted by a golden oriole.

The saya lacquered in a deep blue hue and the Japanese cotton tsuka-ito accentuate the beauty of the katana. In addition, the kashira is adorned with a praying mantis, giving it an additional touch of elegance.

This katana has an overall length of approximately 107.3 cm, with a blade of 69.2 cm and a handle of 35.6 cm. The weight is approximately 992 g and the center of gravity is located approximately 10.2 cm from the guard. The width of the blade at the guard is approximately 3 cm, while at the tip it is 2.2 cm. Also, the thickness of the blade at the guard is approximately 8 mm, while at the tip it is 7 mm.

This katana is made from hand-forged T10 carbon steel, giving it an unmistakable Hanwei quality. It is also produced in a traditional manner to ensure its authenticity.

The delivery time for products made to order or personalized may take longer than usual depending on the workload at that time.

You can cancel the purchase contract you entered into in our online store by sending an email within the period indicated above.

You must send the item(s) to us using your own means. Freight collect shipments will not be accepted.

The Customer has the right to withdraw from the order within 14 calendar days of receipt.
