These original and peculiar armours are part of what is known as "S18" in the Churburg armoury. They have the peculiarity of having the lunette joined to the shoulder pad, something that seems unique compared to the rest of the surviving pieces. Although it is dated to the beginning of the 15th century, some specialists maintain that it could belong to the range of years between 1370 and 1410. The pieces on which this set is based supposedly belonged to the Count of Matsch and are attributed to be Lombard work.
