Shoulder pads are a functional piece of medieval armour that covered and protected the shoulders, that is, the upper and lateral part of the torso and the quadrumanus, from which the warrior's arm is born. The shoulder was a very vulnerable part and easy to attack with serious consequences for the opponent's defence, since the injured shoulder dislocated the arm and, therefore, left it immovable and useless for defending oneself with a sword or any other weapon. Hence the need to protect the shoulder with shoulder pads.

Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafting of our products. Carbon steel is not treated so it may rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
