Each of the seven swords offers excellent handling and features a carefully heat-treated, dull, sharp version of Tinker’s preferred 5160 steel. This results in an excellent combination of strength and flexibility with a Rockwell hardness of 50-52 HRC. In this way, blade edge strength can be achieved with the sharp blades, while burr formation is prevented on the blunt models and safety-related flexibility of the tip is guaranteed.

A unique feature of Tinker's designs is the interchangeability of the blades. You will be able to purchase a complete sword along with a spare blade to use either the sharp or dull version. All longswords, bastard swords and early medieval swords have Tinker's special mounting system with hex nuts that allows for easy blade changes with an Allen key and ensures the hilt remains firmly attached.

The razor-sharp blade is half-ground with a groove and diamond-shaped cross-section. It tapers towards the tip, thus ensuring the necessary bending rigidity even when cutting. The flattened stopper button (type T-1) forms a natural extension of the two-handed handle and the sturdy square crossguard (type 2) provides the necessary safety. The handle has a hardwood core, which is wrapped in cord and covered with leather, and fitted with steel fittings. A leather-covered scabbard is included.
