The Hanwei Three Monkeys Professional Katana is a very special sword, based on the figure of the three wise monkeys: Mizaru, Kikazaru and Iwazaru. Together they embody the ancient proverb “see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil”. With this philosophy as inspiration, this Katana has been created with a traditional technique and an exquisite design.

The Shinogi Zukuri blade is notable for its traditional construction, which includes a bo-hi to reduce weight and improve maneuverability. The blade is made from high-grade carbon steel, hand-forged and differentially hardened. This process results in the blade having a harder edge for cutting and a softer spine to withstand impacts.

The handle is edged with ray skin, which provides a secure and comfortable grip. The tsuba, a fundamental piece in the construction of the Katana, is made of blackened iron and features the motif of the three wise monkeys.
