Kwandao Hanwei

The Quandao (as guandao, Guan Dao or Kwan Tao known) is named after its creator, the great general Guan Yu, and was originally a powerful weapon of war, tipping the scales at over 45kg. Over time however, these Polearm evolved into a martial arts weapon with significantly less weight (the one presented here by Hanwei Hsu Quandao weighs approximately 2.5kg).

The carbon steel blade is distally tapered for better balance and decorated with engraved dragon motifs. A traditional tassel is attached to the blade hook.

The wooden shaft ends with a four-piece stem tip. The guard is recycled old.

It is perfectly balanced, making it ideal for all martial artists who wish to work with such an impressive weapon.

A suitable display stand for this Quandao is also sold separately (item no. OH2290). The stand is made of solid oak wood and presented the weapon in a beautiful manner in the upright position.
