Scottish sword with basket handle, old version
The HN-SH2002N is a stunning Scottish broadsword with a basket hilt that will transport you back in time to experience the intensity of the battles of the era. Although basket hilt swords became common in the 16th century in England, they are best known for their association with Scottish warriors of the 17th and 18th centuries. This broadsword is an exact replica of an antique sword from the British Royal Armouries collection.
The Hanwei Paul Chen Basket-Hilt features a mid-18th century Glasgow style hilt, which is crafted from genuine stingray skin and wire wrapping for added security in the grip. The basket-hilt is made from easy-care stainless steel and has a museum-quality patina. The sword's historic blade is made from 1566 carbon steel and has been antiqued for an authentic look.
This sword has impressive details and shows excellent craftsmanship. The blade has a length of approximately 85.1 cm and an overall length of around 100.1 cm. The width of the blade at the top is 3 cm, with a blade thickness of around 2 mm. The handle section measures about 15.2 cm and the focus is around 12.7 cm before the stop. The tip of the blade has a length of approximately 58.4 cm.
