The Templars' clothing, as well as their flags and standards, are predominantly white (a symbol of their religious vocation) and have a wide-armed, red cross in the center.
This symbol represents the four elements (the weapons) and the "quintessence" (the center). The Vermilion Cross was granted by Pope Eugene III in 1147. This symbol was used as a shield and strengthened them in the fight against the unfaithful person.
The dissemination and knowledge of this Templar cross has no borders, known throughout the world, it was even used by Christopher Columbus in his voyages of discovery as a symbol of "The Three Caravels"
