Murder axe , ca. 1475 The murder axe was the most popular polearm of the late Middle Ages. It was developed from the Hellebrade, but was slightly shorter on average and has a hammerhead on the opposite side to the axe blade .
Our replica is based on a murder axe from 1475. The steel axe head is hand-made. The wooden shaft is half-length.
