Cold Steel Templar Throwing Axe

The Cold Steel® Templar is a specialty throwing instrument for modern tournament and sports throwers.

It was designed by custom blademaker Dave Baker and is inspired by an ancient historical throwing axe also known as a hurlbat . It is made from a solid piece of carbon steel tempered to spring hardness, has good throwing properties and is just plain fun to throw. When it comes to getting stuck , the Templar always lands on target with a satisfying, dull impact.

It has an axe-like head with a point at the top and back, and its handle tapers to a sharp point. As a result, it ensures a strike at almost any distance and rotation, and thanks to its high top-heaviness it is also suitable for long-distance throws.
