Franziska Throwing Axe, Condor The Franziska, named for its Franconian origin, was used by the Franks as a throwing and melee weapon. The elegant form of this axe is legendary, and the raised upper blade tip and downward-curving edge could equally penetrate chain armour. As with the originals, the shaft is also slightly curved back to increase the axe's sticking potential when throwing.
