Gauntlets were used especially from the second quarter of the 15th century onwards, being common among infantry troops who wanted to protect their hands when using polearms. Although their use was widespread among cavalry troops, they were even more popular among mercenaries and foot troops.

Made of 1.2mm thick steel. The thickness of the steel may vary due to the artisanal manufacturing of our products. Carbon steel is not treated so it may have rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with our Ballistol oil.
