style
Borre... followed the Oseberg style in the 9th century and lasted until the mid-10th century. The early medieval Borre or Greiftier style is named after the Norwegian village of Borre on the Oslo Fjord. Animal and knotwork ornaments are the hallmarks of this style, which was later replaced by the Jelling style.
