Many of the most beautiful pieces of armour from the Renaissance armour boom are German. This model imitates the German style of turned edges and "rope" effect, highlighting the work on the curved lines of the craftsmen. The gorget that we see at the end of the 15th century is the logical evolution of armour towards a composite form of protection. From the bascinet with window and visor, to the helmet combined with the gorget there is an understandable improvement. In this combination the protection is rigid at the neck but articulated to achieve a great improvement in effectiveness.

Specs:

Made of 1.6mm steel. It comes with a strap to attach it to other pieces, but can be easily removed.

Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafting of our products. Carbon steel is not treated so it may rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
