The gorget we see at the end of the 15th century is the logical evolution of armour towards a composite form of protection. From the bascinet with a vent and visor to the helmet combined with the gorget there is an understandable improvement. In this combination the protection is rigid at the neck but articulated to achieve a great improvement in effectiveness. The one we offer here is in the style typical of central Europe during the years 1480 and up to 1500.

Specs:

Made of 2mm steel. It comes with a strap to attach it to other pieces, but can be easily removed.

Steel thickness may vary due to the handcrafting of our products. Carbon steel is not treated so it may rust, which is easily removable. You can protect this item from rust with synthetic or mineral oil.
