There are stories told about you among the soldiers. You are the mercenary who has killed over a thousand men. You put fear into your enemies with a sweep of your weapon. Your aura of darkness freezes the hearts of anyone who looks into your eyes. And your favorite? Someone is saying that you made a deal with a devil so that you will never die.
You strap your armor onto your Imperial Gambeson, preparing for battle. You will never tell them what stories may be true, but they can see for themselves your prowess in battle once you take to the field and dominate once more.
DETAILS
This best-selling Epic Armoury Imperial Gambeson is a long-sleeved padded coat that covers the torso from the neck, down over the hips in the front and back. It can be worn alone or serve as essential padding under mail or armour. The gambeson is put on like a jacket and fastens in the front with a cotton lacing system, allowing the wearer to customize the tightness of the fit. The gambesons are easily removable by untying their cotton laces at the shoulders and sleeves, each lace secured via long-lasting brass eyelets.
Thick enough to serve as its own armor, this sturdy gambeson is constructed from heavy layers of fluffy cotton canvas sandwiched between dyed wool on the outside and a softer cotton lining on the inside. All of these layers are sewn in vertical lines, keeping the padding in place and mimicking a classic, high medieval European style.
Although European in cut, gambeson or padded style armour has been in use worldwide since antediluvian times, making the Imperial Gambeson a great staple suit of armour with a range of possibilities regardless of time and place.
Available in Beige and Epic Black, and in sizes Small, Medium, Large and X-Large.
