This calf-length armor skirt for children is made of solid cotton fabric. It is cut straight and sits sideways to the waist. The front and back are also provided with a central, slightly shorter slit. The armor skirt (also called armor dress) appeared in the 12th century and was worn by knights over armor or chain armor.

First, it protected the wearer from sunlight on the battlefield, and through the different color combinations it made it clear in the fray who was enemy and who was friend.
Mi-Parti refers to the colour classification (usually two-coloured) of clothing, as it was often used in the Middle Ages. The most common was the vertical division, by which a checkerboard division was also produced. Colour symbolism played an important role in this. Depictions of colour-divided armour-clads can be found eB in the Stuttgart Psalter and in the Morgan M.804 Chroniques. Overall, there are numerous pictorial representations for medieval armour-clads, eB in the Maciejowski Bible (also Crusade Bible), a medieval bible from the 13th century, and in the Codex Manesse, a song manuscript from the early 14th century.
Typical of the skirt of
weapon is the simple, straight cut. For an authentic look, we recommend pairing it with a leather belt.
Please note: Only
The weapon skirt is sold here! The other items are available separately in our online store.
